Chromium Steel Bar is a refined material used for crafting in My Time at Sandrock. The Chromium Steel Bar is mostly used in crafting and Commisions. It can either be dropped by a number of Monsters throughout the game, or you can craft it yourself.

How Can You Get Chromium Steel Bar Recipe in My Time at Sandrock?
Crafting can be done by using the Civil Furnace crafting station, but only after you buy the recipe for the Chromium Steel Bar from the Commerce Guild Store. It will take two hours and 15 minutes to craft it, and you’ll need 3 pieces of Iron Ore and 2 pieces of Chromium Ore in order to do so.
Some users on Reddit and Steam Community complained that they had problems finding the recipe for the Chromium Steel Bar, stating that they couldn’t find them in the Commerce Guild Store’s offer. One of the users offered the solution, saying that the recipe unlocks only after you make a certain progress in the story. Others advise that after completing every main mission, you should check if the recipe appeared.
Monsters Dropping Chromium Steel Bar
Chromium Steel Bar can be dropped by four different kinds of monsters in My Time at Sandrock:
- Contaminated Plierimp
- Dive Buzzard
- Masked Fiend
- Plierimp
Items Crafted With Chromium Steel Bar
During the game, you get to craft a number of items that require the Chromium Steel Bar. In total, you can craft 17 items, which must contain the following bar:
- On the Civil Processor crafting station, you can craft a Chromium Steel Plate, which requires 3 pieces of Chromium Steel Bar.
- On the Civil Grinder crafting station, you can make Chromium Steel Bearings and to do that, you’ll need 2 pieces of Chromium Steel Bar.
- On the Forging Machine Lv1, there are 8 weapons that require the Chromium Steel Bar for crafting – Chromium Daggers, Chromium Heavy Sword, Chromium Spear, Chromium Sword and Shield, Steel Daggers, Steel Greatsword, Steel Spear, and Super Shock Shield.
- Some gear also requires this material. On Tailoring Machine Lv1, you can craft Desert Warrior Boots and Desert Warrior Visor.
- Note that some of the players also complained about the fact that you’ll need some things that require the Chromium Steel Bar even before you unlock the ability that allows you to get it. But anyhow, be sure that the option will eventually become available after you progress through the story and complete several missions.
