In Chained Echoes players have the ability to farm SP through the use of revisiting specific Regions on the Map. For those wondering, SP farming is achievable towards the beginning of the game. In fact you are not even required to obtain your first Sky Armor before attempting to farm at the Chained Echoes SP location. Whilst this is not compulsory and does not make you overpowered in the early game, sometimes it can be useful to max out all your character levels (Character Action & Passive and Class Action & Passive Levels) for free exploration in the Regions such as Fiorwoods. Therefore, this guide will show you the current best location to farm SP in Chained Echoes.
Chained Echoes SP Farm Location: Basil
The location we recommend using is at Basil. In regard to its placement on the Map, you will see this location inside the Rohlan Fields Region Map. Basil is located on the south-west side and atop the Seaside Village. In this location, you are aiming to travel to the south-west Fast-Travel Transport Crystal. This is highlighted on the screenshot below. To get to this area however, the journey is relatively simple and can be done completely on foot.
Starting from Farnsport you will want to head northern part of the map, crossing two loading screens over. This will eventually take you to Kortara entrance which you will not have access to yet. Instead, head west, following the Map as it updates with your explorations. Follow the path of Basil all the way to the southern corner of the Map. At this point you would have done a full sweep of the outer area of the Map, including Farnsport and Basil. As you will see the location you need is on a separate part of Basil.
To get to the farming spot, head south-east from the Transport Crystal of the small Basil Village. Follow the path south-east to the corner of the section above the Cave icon on the Map. Refer to the screenshot below for the exact path you need to take. Once you get to this area you will see a hole which you can climb into. The water at the bottom will save your fall. Follow the route round and this will eventually take you to the Transport Crystal which you needed to locate.
Climb up on the left side after dropping from the waterfall and head west. One loading screen over, climb north three times and follow the passage round to the north-west. Keep going west until you engage with a group of Pigears. After fighting, head south to gain access to the Transport Crystal. You can now fast-travel back and forth to fight these enemies and farm SP.
SP Farming Methods
For those just getting started with this game, this is the best location to farm SP as the enemies spawn in incredibly close to the Transport Crystal. However, if you do not like this method, there are other ways to increase your SP amount after battle. This is by recruiting Bao to join your clan. However, you must have the Airship to recruit him as he is located in Mount Rydell. Meaning that this addition to your Clan will be done much later in the game. The alternative method to increase your SP further is to obtain the Charm of the Learner. This can be found in the Quest ‘Killing in the Rain’ through the exploration of the City Tormund.
The final method to increase your SP is by using the character Mikah, in battle. You can get much more SP with Mikah in battle, using her ultra move. To recruit Mikah however, you must first recruit Tomke by completing the ‘The Food, the Chap, and the Hungry’ Side Quest.
