To access the ‘For the Love of Food’ Side Quest in Chained Echoes, players must first level up your clan to Level 2. You must also recruit everyone from Oracle’s list, taking you to Hermit’s Isle where the Side Quest begins. After speaking to Mikah who sets this Quest to feed her Grandfather who requires ‘GG’ to remember his lost memories. This is the full guide to completing the Side Quest of ‘For the Love of Food’ in Chained Echoes.
How to Access ‘For the Love of Food’ Side Quest
You must first complete the Side Quest titled, ‘The Food, the Chapt, and the Hungry’. You can find this Quest upon receiving the airship. Head to Arkant Archipelago to start the Side Quest. This will unlock Tomke who will join your clan. This is essential to completing as Tomke introduces our characters to his Granddaughter, Mikah. This Quest must be completed first to initiate ‘For the Love of Food’ Side Quest.
Next, you must upgrade Hermit’s Isle to Level 3 by recruiting two more characters. But first, you must complete the Main Quest ‘Storming Tormund.’ This will recruit Bob upon completion and later allow you to start the Side Quest to recruit Gormit via the Quest ‘Three Months Later’. The Pub in which you meet Mikah to start the ‘For the Love of Food’ Side Quest is crafted by Bob, one of your allies.
‘For the Love of Food’ Side Quest Guide
After taking on the Side Quest, your first objective is to find Mikah in Ograne Grotto. Open up your map by pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox) to open the map. Then press Triangle/ Y to open the Teleport Map. Here you can select the region you wish to fast travel to. Scroll to the bottom and select ‘Ograne Grotto’. Here you will see the option to travel to your chosen Transport Crystal, use the directional buttons to select the Crystal you wish to transport to. In this case, teleport to the central Crystal of Ograne Grotto.
Alternatively, if you have never entered Ograne Grotto before, you can enter this area through Rohlan Fields. You can enter Ograne Grotto via the northern entrance of Rohlan Fields into Farnsport. You should use your airship to fly to Rohlan Fields or fast-travel to the region. In Rohlan Fields, using the Sky Armor is crucial into getting into the Ograne Grotto entrance via the waterfall which Mikah goes into. If this is your first time here, you will need to traverse through the dungeons until you find the central Crystal of Ograne Grotto.
From this Transport Crystal, head north. Follow the route until the first intersection. Here you need to take a left turn and keep heading up. After seeing two black loading screens and autosaves, you will see a cutscene with Tomke. Here is where we find Mikah and meet up with her. The Megaloworm appears and takes Mikah through the tunnel after saving her Grandfather.

Saving Mikah from the Megaloworm
You need to travel to Rockbottom Inn next, you can fast-travel inside the dungeons of Ograne Grotto. Select the Transport Crystal on the right side of the map. Here you need to speak to the Innkeeper who is located on the third floor of the largest building. It can be found directly next to the Transport Crystal. Next speak to the Miner to the right of the Innkeeper to hear his plans on how to kill the Megaloworm.
The next area is highlighted on your map, inside Kortara Mountain Range. Fast-travel to the southern Crystal area and use the Sky Armor to get to your destination. In the Armor, head north until a loading screen appears where your team meet for briefing. After viewing the cutscene where things escalate, the screen is engulfed in light. Now you are inside the Megaloworm. After speaking with Mikah before she runs off again, open the Chest to the right-side of the room (behind where she was standing). Head north where there is another Chest in the next chamber. Continue north where you will engage in battle against Antibodies.
Inside the Megaloworm
Head east and traverse into the brown water, use the bubbles indicator beside the spikes in the water to get to the other side of them. Head north-east and climb the slime on the wall. Interact with the object in the top-right corner of the screen and return to where you began. Heading west back into the chambers where you fought the Antibodies. Go north as a new area is now open. Walk to the edge of the platform north of you and jump over to the right side of the screen then hop back into the water below using the slime south of the right platform. Head north once more and use the bubbles to transport over the spikes in the water. Climb up the slime, interact with the Crystal on the right and then the object on the left which opens passages.
Go back into the water and use the bubble transportation system on the southern-side of this room to teleport to the other side. Swim north once again and climb up the slime. The passage will now be open on the north-side of the room. Follow the path until you reach a wall with three climbable pathways. The central takes you to a Chest with Leather Gear inside. Taking the right path next has you engage in a fight against 5 Antibodies. Defeat these and interact with the object on the high north point of the area. This will open the final passage. The left and right paths are connected. So drop down into the left path to enter the now open passage.
The Side Quest Finale
There is a Chest with Rayon Fiber if you wish to pick that up at the end of the left path, you will need to fight 5 Antibodies. Go through the final passage to initiate the final cutscene, where everyone inside the Megaloworm will meet up. For a family reunion to remember.
