Getting to customize your character build and boosts is a huge advantage in the long run. In the world of RPGs, having certain items that have a certain power or boost is something great and very sought after. However, maybe that power can be used somewhere else, and applied in other instance or in another way altogether. Oftentimes, that means using magic to get that power while destroying the item itself. And that is exactly what we are going to do today. Here is how to extract legendary power in Diablo 3.
How to Extract Legendary Power
In order to extract legendary power, you will first need to get the Kanai’s Cube. You will obtain by starting a game in Adventure Mode and heading to any town in any act. You will need to speak with the spirit of Zoltun Kulle. The spirit will point you towards the location of the Cube. Go there and collect it. You will be able to complete several Horadric rituals with it, including the extraction of legendary power.
To extract legendary power, acces Kanai’s Cube and click on the Recipe button to the right of the Transmute button. Go to page 1 where you will find the Archive of Tal Rasha, which is the recipe for extracting power. Click the Fill button to add the appropriate materials, which are the following: the item you will extract the power from, 1 Khanduran Rune, 1 Caldeum Nightshade, 1 Arreat War Tapestry, 1 Corrupted Angel Flex, 1 Westmarch Holy Water, and 5 Death’s Breath. Right-click the specific item in your inventory you wish to extract the power from. Click the Transmute button and you will extract the power from the item. Click on the right cube slot (weapon, armor, or jewelry). Finaly, turn to the page that lists the extracted powers and equip the one you want.

And there you go! Who would have thought that transmutation and item power extraction was as easy as just pressing a couple of buttons! Well, let’s not get deep into the occult just yet.
