Focus Entertainment and Flying Wild Hog’s latest project, Evil West is definitely an excellent time to be sure. With its many gruesome vampiric enemies, weapons to keep them at bay, and the overall action between fights, there’s almost never a dull moment here.
And though fights are epic at most times, they can also be pretty difficult too. Early on, you’ll go toe to toe with one of the game’s main villains, Peter D’Abano, an evil vampire whose main goal is to have vampires reveal themselves in order to take over the world.
He’s a pretty daunting boss battle as this is only at the end of the second level in the game. So if you’re having issues conquering this fight, then we can explain how to defeat Peter D’Abano in Evil West.
How to Defeat Peter D’Abano in Evil West
The fight with Peter D’Abano is the climax of the level, “Raid”. You’ll enter the large red door where the vampires are gathering, and after some dialogue between them, you’ll reveal yourself and Peter will show his true vampiric form.
He’s a pretty large beast with a few tricks up his sleeve. His main attacks are a dark magic wave that he’ll throw in your direction and a sort of Hulk smash, jumping from one side of the fighting arena toward you and smashing the ground. As with any enemy, you can react timely to his attacks since he glows when he’s ready to do something. Using ranged weapons is the way to go until you have an opening.

After that large Hulk smashes, he’ll cool down for a second to regain his energy, making this the perfect moment for you to attack him. Melee attacks at moments like these take the most health from him. Just be careful though, as he can try and grab you once he’s back on his feet.
Once he’s down to about half of his life, he will begin to spawn minions into the arena. These are just bullet fodder you’ve already been slaying up til this point and nothing major.
He’ll at times, also try to heal himself with his swarms of bats. When he does this, he fully opens himself up to rifle shots to his weak spot, so be sure to exploit that. Once he’s down for the count, you’ll need to go up to him and hit the melee button to execute him with a finisher.
