How to Complete the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife
Here are the requirements to complete the Gatsby Challenge in BitLife:
- Live in New York
- Be a famous author
- Have 20+ friends
- Throw 10+ wild parties in your mansion
- Become addicted to alcohol
The first requirement is to live in New York. You probably already know this, but start a new life and either select New York as your birthplace or move there later.
Next, you’ll need to become a famous author. Make sure to study hard in school so you can get into university after graduation. You’ll probably want to major in English so that you can get a writing gig post-graduation. Once you finish school, start looking for jobs. You can usually find a low-level job as a writer for a publisher. If you don’t see the job, try restarting your BitLife app until you do see it.
Work hard at your job, and continue aging up. Your fame level will rise slightly over time, but you can do a few things to become famous. First, join all the social media platforms and post regularly. Keep working at your job, posting on social media, and watching that fame level rise. Eventually, you will gain enough fame to be considered famous.
As you age up, you may receive notifications from people to become their friend. Since you’ll need 20+ friends, you should always accept their invitation and become friends with them.
At this point, you should be making plenty of money as a famous author, so it’s time to purchase a mansion. Browse the Assets section, and go to Shopping, and then Real Estate. Select an option that says mansion. If you don’t see the mansion option, you can age up a year and check again. Repeat this process until you acquire a fancy estate for yourself.
After you have a mansion, view your property and select the option to throw a party. Like Gatsby, you’re going to have to throw a lot of them, 10 to be exact. It’s an excellent opportunity to make some more friends, too.
Finally, you need to become addicted to alcohol. Head into the Activities tab and go clubbing. Always accept any offer for alcohol, and there’s a chance to become addicted that way.
