‘Battle Rivals’ Mission Summary

As you progress through the Tiers the difficulty increases. With Missions such as ‘Battle Rivals’ asking players to take down a lot of enemies with specific criterion. In this case, you must kill a total of 111 enemies using the FTAC Recon. However, 81 of these enemies killed must be with the Thermo-Optic X9 attached. The remaining 30 must be of Operators, with the 419mm EXF Barrel attached to the FTAC. The location in which you need to successfully complete this Mission is inside Sa’id City of Al Mazrah.

How to Complete ‘Battle Rivals’

Both attachments can be added to the FTAC Recon at once, meaning that you can go your deployment with the same set up without worry of which objective you are hitting. Add the Thermo-Optic X9 and the 419mm EXF Barrel to the FTAC. Then add the Bruen Agent 90 Muzzle, .458 High Velocity Ammunition and the 15 Round Mag to complete the class set up. Tune the Muzzle to Aiming Stability Increase +0.65 & Recoil Smoothness Decrease -1.00. Be sure to test the gun in the firing range in case any adjustments are needed. We recommend using this solely on its semi-auto function as it has easier control that way.

Best Location to Complete ‘Battle Rivals’

The first objective of killing the standard AI enemies in Al-Mazrah takes place inside Sa-id City. There is not a specific spot you need to stay in to complete this task, you just need to be inside the City when killing the enemies. The best place to challenge enemies however is inside the mall. You can achieve both objectives here, by looking out for Operators using the Dead Drop point in Sa’id City and ambushing them as they are using their inventory. AI will spawn near the Dead Drop too, so we recommend ambushing any Operators trying to use the Dead Drop Dumpster and then take out any AI nearby who will try to take out both you and the Operator.

Ambush Operators

This area will be a hot spot for Operators, therefore you will need to play slow and adopt a more stealthier approach. Especially if you are trying to complete this Mission on your own. A simple trick to completing this Mission is to use the FTAC as a means of full killing a downed Operator. This means holding it as your secondary and using your primary weapon to kill if you are not confident in using a semi-auto gun. You can also place vehicles at the sight of the Dead Drop to lure in Operators for cover and use Grenades and Semtex to blow up the vehicle when they get close. Placing Mines may be useful also so that you can hold the nearby rooftops.

Remember that you do not have to stay at the Airport to get these kills. Therefore, we recommend using this ambushing tactic at all of the other Dead Drop locations in Al-Mazrah as these kills will count towards the Operator objective. This objective is far easier to complete in a team as you can use your teammates as bait against Operators throughout Al-Mazrah. They can also help in knocking players down where you can use the FTAC to full kill them, rewarding you will a point on the Operator Counter.

For obtaining the 81 kills inside the Airport, be sure to focus on the lower-levelled militia. These are the easiest to take down and you should find a lot roaming inside and around the Airport as it is a hot spot for Operators. You can use other players as bait to get kills on the AI too, just make sure to utilize good positioning in the game. Such as the rooftops.
