How to Change Appearance in Wild Hearts

So, there are two instances in which you will be able to customize and change the appearance of your character in Wild Hearts. The first one, quite obviously, will happen at the beginning of the game. You will be tasked with pursuing a Kemono. Go ahead and chase after it and eliminate any small Kemonos you will find in your way. Once you get to the Kemono you are hunting, you can either pet or slay it, it is completely up to you. Then, while sitting in your fireplace, you will hear music coming from a cave, look for it and get out of the cave from the other side to find a musician. This is Mujina, who will talk you about the land of Azuma. Once you have finished talking with him, you will be then introduced to the character creation menu. Go ahead and customize your character.

If, however, you realize down the line that your character does not actually fit your liking and wish to change its appearance, there is some good news for you! There is a Karakuri called the Looking Glass Karakuri which will enable you to change your character’s appearance. You will have to unlock it first, though, and it could probably take a while since it is 18 tiers deep in the Karakuri Skill Tree. Thankfully, naturally progressing through the story and by playing the game will help you unlock several nodes that will allow you to unlock the Looking Glass Karakuri by the end of Chapter 2.
