Here’s everything you need to know about the Spider Crab in ACNH:

  • Critter: Spider Crab
  • Seasonality: March, April (Northern Hemisphere)
  • Active Hours: All Day
  • Shadow Size: Very Fast
  • Selling Price: 12,000 Bells

Spider Crabs are deep-sea creatures with large shadows. They have swift movement speed, so they are not exactly easy to catch. You can find these critters in the waters around your island during March and April. There is no specific time of day you need to worry about, as they are available all day long.

If you are in pursuit of a Spider Crab and are having trouble catching up to it, try this trick. Lead it into the ropes that surround the water. When the Spider Crab gets to the ropes, it will have to turn around, giving you some time to catch up. As soon as you’re close enough, dive down and grab it.

This giant crab is one you will need to time travel to get. Otherwise, you’re going to have to wait until next year to get your hands on it. If you’re in the Southern Hemisphere, add six months to the seasonality. That means you can find it in September and October if you’re living in that hemisphere. Good luck catching your first Spider Crab!
