How to Call the Airship in Chained Echoes

Become a true Valandis explorer

As the Airship will be used to access areas from all over the Map, it is essential that you get one. The Airship is obtained through natural progression of the Main Questlines. Specifically, you need to complete the Quest ‘Three Months Later’. Which rewards you as an official Clan, thus obtaining the Airship. You must complete the ‘Mount Rydell’ of ‘Three Months Later’ Quest in full to obtain the Himmelskaiser Airship. This is our quick guide on how to call the Airship once obtained in Chained Echoes.

How to Call Airship

The Airship can only be called in outside areas of each Region. However, you cannot use it in restricted zones. This is the primary way for you to get around Valandis and their Regions. It helps in completing specific Quests such as ‘A Little Vacation’. You also need the Airship to fly to areas which do not have Teleport Crystals. Such as the Isle of Messages. It is also crucial to use in finding the Flying Smithy. A floating island, looks like an Airship on the Map, flying around the western side. At the Flying Smithy, players can upgrade their Rusty Weapons into their Ultimate forms. They however need Souls of Farnese and the Weapon itself, found throughout the Regions in order to upgrade.

For those playing on the Nintendo Switch, you need to use the ‘‘ button. This is on the top-left of the controller or left joystick controller. Those playing on the PlayStation should press the touchpad (large middle button) of the controller. Those on console will have these are the default buttons that they need to press to call in the Airship. If you decide that you do not want to use it but have accidently pressed it, you will need to fly somewhere else. Returning back to your original spot after entry. Unfortunately, there is not a button to cancel or back out of using the Airship once the button is pressed.
