The Halloween event is back again in Fortnite’s battle royale. Fortnitemares is the annual spooky event offering players special in-game rewards for completing sets of challenges. One of this week’s challenge asks players to become a Shadow three time. Now, you might not be sure how to complete this, but we got you covered. How to become a Shadow in Fortnite (Fortnitemares Challenge)

You respawn as a Shadow in Fortnite after elimination. There’s no unique trick you need to know to accomplish the task. After someone eliminates you, you’ll respawn on the Battle Bus and drop into the match as a Shadow. If you’re having trouble finding someone to destroy you, you can always build a few ramps or jump off a high structure and plummet to your death.

Shadows have a unique set of attacks, including a slash, dash, scream, and shadow jump. You can try and get revenge on whoever took you down, but it’s not part of this particular challenge. You’ll see a message saying, “Join Midas’ Shadow Army and hunt down survivors.”

For this Fortnitemares challenge, you’ll need to become a Shadow three times. After your first completion, you can have fun hunting people, or you can leave the game and do it all over again two more times.
