Chained Echoes has been taking the JRPG landscape by storm due to its scope, design and presentation. There is a lot to explore and tick-off in its many challenges and achievement requirements, all the way down to its late game content. Such cases can be seen with its Endangered Species and Walking Killing Machine achievements – both requiring certain run-ins and having defeated unique opponents. Bog the Real Gob is a late-game example of this.
Chained Echoes Bog the Real Gob Guide
Bog the Real Gob can only be encountered in the location of Ograne Grottos (Northeast). This is after a number of required criteria have been checked off:
- The Raminas tower must have been cleared before.
- The main mission of laying down all of the tablet in Wygrand Mines must be done.
- Destroy a totem within this same area.
- Complete the side quest of ‘A Goblin’s Dilemma’ located in Rohlan Fields.
- Obtain the elevator key from the office in Academy of Nhysa to unlock the option of going down on the elevator to the lowest level of Grottos Dungeon.

The specific map area of Bog the Real Gob’s location is behind a locked door upon heading down in the elevator. It is worth noting that Bog the Real Gob is susceptible to Earth type moves. Chip away at his defences then pummel him with Sienna’s special attacks to get him down quickly. Keep stocked up on poison antidotes since his Miasma Skull attack is troublesome in targeting one unit every single time. He should not be too challenging to take down, especially if you leave it until post game content to tackle.
