How to Beat All Spiders in Hogwarts Legacy

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

There is a reason why there is an arachnophobia mod to remove all spiders in Hogwarts Legacy. People are incredibly afraid of spiders. Me, personally? I cannot stand them. I mean, it is nothing personal, no spider took away my lunch money or married my high school crush, but those fangs and eyes man, yikes. Thankfully, there is not a playable game where we get to fight giant spiders that are infinitely more dangerous, creepy, and well, spidey. Oh wait, there is. Here is how to beat all spiders in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Beat All Spiders in Hogwarts Legacy

While there are a considerable amount of nightmare-fuel types of spiders in the game, the way you will defeat them is very straightforward. Dodging and dealing damage between strikes is a great way to go for the big ones. If they start to rear up to attack, use Descendo to stop them, while also dealing a considerable amount of damage. For the ones that attack from a distance, time your fire spells between shots in order to defeat them in no time. Finally, some spiders tend to burrow in the ground to do a surprise attack. Use Flippendo to unborrow them and to deal great damage. Here is a list of all the spiders in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy Spider List

SpiderDescription
Venomous HatchlingWhile by themselves they don’t do much damage, if they swarm you, well, you’re done.
Venomous MatriarchThe Matriarch is very powerful, and she will even break any shield charms. Just watch out when she rears up, she is about to strike.
Thornback ScurriourQuite a simple type of spider, vulnerable to fire like all the other types.
Thornback HatchlingJust like its Venomous counterparts, beware of the swarm.
Thornback AmbusherThe Ambusher will try to range attack you with its web attacks, trying to immobilize you.
Thornback ShooterJust like the Ambusher, the Shooter will instead fire acid venom. Yikes.
Thornback MatriarchVery similar to its Venomous counterpart. Watch out for that magic shield breaking attack.
AcromantulaWhile not a spider per se, it moves exactly like one. Dodge and strike between its attacks to get rid of it. Oh, and she will break your magic shields as well.
Venomous ShooterUses the same strategy as its Thornback counterpart: spits acid venom from a distance.
Venomous AmbusherJust as the Thornback, she will attack you with webs in order to immobilize you from a distance.
Venomous ScurriourIf hit by its attacks, you will be poisoned and be dealt passive damage as a result of it. Use a Wiggenweld potion to heal and cure the infection.

And that’s it with the spiders, thankfully. Like I said before, I’m not a huge fan of spiders, so it’s a relief that you, as a wizard, have the necessary skills of dealing them from a distance thanks to your magic wand and spells. I hate having them close to me, it’s almost as if they were watching my every move and if I get distracted, I might be bitten. There is one right behind me, isn’t it? Oh well, nice to meet you all.
