Bounties have been a core part of Destiny 2’s identity since the very beginning, so finding out how many bounties you can hold in Destiny 2 is a crucial step on your path to end-game development. Back in Destiny 1, bounties were the lifeblood of endgame. They don’t hold that kind of importance anymore, but they’re still key to leveling up your season pass and seasonal artifact quickly.
Bounties need to be done in bulk. Otherwise, they’re just not all that effective. One bounty won’t give you much in the way of a reward. 100 bounties, though, will make a noticeable difference. With that in mind, I’m here to answer the question “how many bounties can you hold in Destiny 2?”
How Many Bounties Can You Hold in Destiny 2?
You can hold a total of 40 bounties in Destiny 2. These can be mixed and matched between the vendors, but 40 is the hard limit. As per individual vendor – you can have a total of nine bounties from any one vendor at any one time. This means that you can take all four of the daily bounties from someone like Zavala, as well as five random bounties. Just remember that these cost a whole bunch of Glimmer.
Using those numbers, we can stock up on three full vendors’ worth of bounties, as well as all four daily bounties from a fourth vendor. This lets us knock out three weekly bounty challenges in one go, and almost complete another.
Of course, if you’re trying to be as efficient as possible with how many bounties you can hold in Destiny 2, make sure you’re mixing and matching bounties and vendors that make sense. Don’t take a raid bounty from Ada if you’re going to be playing Crucible.
Gunsmith bounties go well with almost every activity. Combine them with your seasonal bounties and Vanguard bounties, and you’ll find yourself flying through those season pass tiers like there’s no tomorrow.
