Path of Exile is a complex RPG that can be proud of the number of players it gathers and keeps each month. This Diablo-looking game has long ago determined its path with a completely unique way of leveling your characters and buffing them with carefully chosen passive skills. One such skill, a new Keystone passive skill called Lethe Shade, has been in the focus of a lot of players due to its unclear nature.
We decided to break Lethe Shade down and tell you what it’s all about.
Lethe Shade Keystone Explained
You will find Lethe Shade Keystone in the upper right area of the Passive skill tree, between the Shadow and the Witch area. Once picked up it gives you the ability to evade 50% damage over time (DoT) if you’ve started taking DoT damage in the past second. Moreover, you will have 100% duration added on ailments that affect you.

Basically you will receive less damage from DoT while some of the ailments such as Bleeding, Ignited, Scorched, Chilled, Frozen, Brittle, Shocked, Sapped, and Poisoned will last longer on you.
The Lethe Shade Keystone is generally here to give you time to react to any sudden ailments your character received and heal them with flask. It is recommended for builds that have ailment immunity and therefore won’t feel the downside of it.
It’s important not to pick up this keystone skill if you haven’t planned things out in advance as bad combo can cause your character to die.
