How to Grow Food in Planet Crafter

To grow food in Planet Crafter, you will have to build Food Growers. The first tier of food growers is only unlocked after you reach 12 ppt of Oxygen in your terraforming. You can raise the oxygen levels by building Vegetubes and putting seed pods in them. Note that seed pods are different than regular seeds used for planting.

Food Grower Planet Crafter

tier 1 food grower will require the following materials:

  • 1 Aluminium
  • 1 Iron
  • 1 Water Bottle

Once you have your materials, you can put a food grower inside your base and fill it with a seed. Seeds are found in wreckage and crates scattered across the world. Make sure you grab them and put them into storage until you have enough food growers. Never leave one behind when you see it. The good thing about seeds is that you will get a seed back once your food is finished growing. This way, you will have an infinite loop of seeds once you find them.

Different food will provide different stat benefits, and some can be used as craftable items. Here are a few examples:

  • Eggplant – 25 Health – Makes Fertilizer
  • Mushroom – 35 Health – Makes Bioplastic
  • Squash – 40 Health – Makes Fertilizer T2
  • Space Food – 40 Health – No Crafting
  • Beans – 60 Health – No Crafting

We hope this guide helped you to start growing food in Planet Crafter. Please check out our Planet Crafter section for more helpful guides.
