I think it’s just a law of reality that every body of water, be it a beach, lake, or whatever else, comes included with at least one inexplicable shipwreck. I’ve seen watery spots littered with boats marooned in manners that defy logic. If you’re a fan of incomprehensible naval nonsense, there’s such a place in the current iteration of the Fortnite map. Here’s how to visit Shipwreck Cove in Fortnite.

Shipwreck Cove is… well, pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a small cove in the corner of Fortnite’s island littered with totaled boats of various builds, qualities, and even time periods, presumably sucked up from the various heres and theres from whence Fortnite’s combatants come. While there isn’t anything of practical application to be found here, visiting Shipwreck Cove has been popping up as a quest on the Daily Punch Card, and a quick visit will net you a quality XP payout, so what’s the harm?

How to Visit Shipwreck Cove in Fortnite

To visit Shipwreck Cove in Fortnite:

  1. Drop as close to Catty Corner as possible from the Bus at the start of a match
  2. Find the small, circular inlet on the southeastern point of the map
  3. Enter the cove’s proximity to complete your Punch Card quest

The good news is that Shipwreck Cove isn’t barred off or anything like that. You can walk right in from the mountains, or even drop in from the bus if you’re prompt about it. The hardest part is just knowing where it is.

Shipwreck Cove is found in the southeast inlet near Catty Corner. It’s the most southeastern point on the entire map, located roughly hereabouts:

The only things you have to worry about are Shipwreck Cove’s lack of notable item spawns and its proximity to the shore (and by extension, the Storm). You don’t need to actually land on the ground to clear your punch card quest, just drop down into the cove’s immediate proximity, and it’ll count. Afterwards, you might wanna make yourself scarce, as the Storm will arrive promptly, and if anyone else is nearby, chances are good they’ll take a shot at you.
