The Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Week 5 challenges are releasing this week. There are several challenges available, each with a completion reward of 35,000 XP. An additional Aquaman Challenge is also underway, where you must claim your Trident at Coral Cove. Be on the lookout for this week’s XP coins, as well.
Fortnite Season 3 Week 5 Challenges Guide
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 Week 5 challenges are as follows:
- Search 7 Chests at Sweaty Sands
- Get 3 Eliminations at Retail Row
- Use a Firefly Jar or Flare Gun at Misty Meadows
- Land at the Yacht and Finish Top 25
- Catch 5 fish at Craggy Cliffs
- Upgrade a weapon at Salty Springs
- Collect Floating Rings at Steamy Stacks
- Search Ammo Boxes at The Fortilla
Many of these challenges require directly landing at specific locations and playing the game as you usually would. However, we like to provide walkthroughs for each challenge in case anyone is confused. Read on below for more details on how to complete each specific challenge.
Search 7 Chests at Sweaty Sands
To start things off, you can land at Sweaty Sands and work your way through seven chests. Here’s a map of all the chests in Sweaty Sands for your convenience.
Get 3 Eliminations at Retail Row
Next up, you’ll need to make your way over to Retail Row and score three eliminations. This has been a named location on the Fortnite map since the game was released.
Use a Firefly Jar or Flare Gun at Misty Meadows
For the next Fortnite Season 3 Week 5 challenge, use a Firefly Jar or a Flare Gun at the Misty Meadows location. This is the southernmost location in the middle of the map. Your best bet is probably finding a Flare Gun from a chest.
Land at the Yacht and Finish Top 25
The Yacht is the location in E1 at the very north end of the map. Land here, and finish top 25. You’ve likely already completed this challenge several times already throughout the season for different locations. This one is no different, so either land here and hide or land here and frag out. The choice is yours.
Catch 5 fish at Craggy Cliffs
The hardest part of this challenge will be obtaining a Fishing Rod. They are tough to come by due to the low spawn rates. There are always Fishing Rod spawns on The Yacht, so you can land there, grab a rod, and do some fishing to knock out two challenges at once.
Upgrade a weapon at Salty Springs
For this Fortnite Season 3 Week 5 challenge, you need to upgrade a weapon at Salty Springs. You can refer to the map below for the Upgrade Machine location. Make sure you harvest enough materials, and then head to the machine pictured below to upgrade one of your weapons.
Collect Floating Rings at Steamy Stacks
For this challenge, head to the helicopter location by The Yacht or just east of Frenzy Farm. Hop in the Choppa and make your way to Steamy Stacks. You can find the rings floating in the sky above the stacks and around the area. There are four rings around the stacks, so make your rounds and collect them all.
Search Ammo Boxes at The Fortilla
Last but not least, you need to search ammo boxes at The Fortilla. Below you can find a map of every ammo box in this location. Use it for reference, and you can check the last Fortnite Season 3 Week 5 challenge off your list.
