We’re coming into the final weeks of Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6, and there are a few new quests available. One of these, in particular, is to investigate a strange helicopter that has crashed somewhere on the island. It is a part of the Foreshadowing Questline, and things seem to be pointing toward aliens invading Fortnite island. Where to investigate a downed black helicopter in Fortnite
The downed black helicopter is east of Lazy Lake, next to some pine trees. To investigate the helicopter, walk over to it and use your interact key to tune the frequencies. Press on the plus button on the action menu, and you should hear “truck inbound, OPSEC level 3.” After that, press the minus button to tune it to the proper frequency.
After you perform these steps, you should get a message “India Oscar field decon truck inbound, OPSEC level 3 is in effect, repeat, OPSEC 3 now a GO.” Again, if you’re having trouble, just walk over to the helicopter and interact with it. Hit the plus sign a few times, and then the minus sign.
If you’ve done the steps correctly, you’ll get a prompt on the top left of your screen saying the quest is complete. It’s an epic quest, so you’ll get 24,000 XP toward your battle pass for completing this one.
Now, the question remains as to whether the downed helicopter is the work of aliens or not. Signs are pointing to yes, though, and we’ll need to wait until later this week or next week to see what Fortnite has in store for us.
