What is Fortnite Imposters mode?

Fortnite's Among Us inspired game mode tasks players with completing assignments in The Bridge while trying to figure out who the Imposters are...

Fortnite’s brand new game mode, “Imposters,” introduced on August 17, is a social deduction game similar to Among Us. Ten players will be put into The Bridge and need to work together to complete Assignments and maintain order. The twist is that two people are Imposters, working to sabotage the mission. Can you figure out who they are?

What is Fortnite Imposters?

Fortnite Imposters is a limited-time game mode for up to ten players, with eight Agents and two imposters. The Agents must complete assignments and maintain The Bridge while the Imposters are looking to overtake it.

How do you queue into Fortnite imposters?

To queue into the new Imposters mode, you can have any party size and fill the remaining slots. Public voice chat is disabled, but party chat is still an option, as are Emotes and the Quick Chat menu.

Agents

Agents of the Imagined Order (IO) must complete assignments around the bridge. These can be things like repairing the Battle Bus, delivering reports, and calibrating objects. Complete each one quickly, and work together to finish the assignments and vote out the imposters.

Remember, two out of the ten players are imposters, so pay attention to anything and anyone being suspicious.

Imposters

The Imposters have one simple job: eliminate enough Agents to overtake The Bridge. Of course, Imposters have some tools at their disposal to help get the job done, including:

  • Disabling Assignments
  • Teleporting Players
  • Peely Party

Imposters can completely disable all assignments to buy a little time, or they can teleport all the agents around The Bridge to cause some confusion. For all-out panic, they can also use Peely Party to turn everyone into Peely for a short duration, allowing them to blend in with the crowd.

Imposters also have a list of assignments to complete, but remember, completing them gets the Agents one step closer to their objective of maintaining The Bridge.

Voting

Interact with the Discussion panel at the center of The Bridge to force a Discussion. During a Discussion, all players (Agents and Imposters) can share information using Emotes and the Quick Chat menu. Ask questions about peoples’ whereabouts to try and determine the real Agents from the Imposters. At the end of the Discussion, players can vote to eject someone or skip their vote.
