I’ve never visited Nevada, but I’ve heard the deserts and mesas out that way have naturally formed into some fascinating shapes. Of course, those shapes probably aren’t as interesting and implausible in real life as they are in fiction, but that’s what’s fun about games like Fortnite; you can find a rock formation that makes no sense at all. Speaking of which, where is the Impossible Rock in Fortnite?
As part of Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 3, one of the new daily quests is “Land at Impossible Rock.” Impossible Rock is a strange rock formation found in the rocky mesas between Rocky Reels and Condo Canyon. It’s a gigantic boulder, big enough for about, oh, 15 people to firmly stand on, suspended by a comparatively tiny stack of boulders beneath it. It makes no sense from a physics perspective, but it sure is neat.
Where is the Impossible Rock in Fortnite
The Impossible Rock can be found in a cliff formation between the two rivers that run past Rocky Reels and Condo Canyon. It’s the biggest rock in the area, and at a fairly high elevation, so it’s pretty hard to miss.
To complete the Daily Quest, all you have to do is wait for the Battle Bus to pass over that area in the southeast of the map, then jump out. Don’t worry if your aim isn’t great, the quest only requires you to land at Impossible Rock, not on it. As long as you land in Impossible Rock’s general vicinity, that counts as a clear. It would behoove you to check out the top of the Rock, though, as there’s a small camper up there with some loot to claim. Just be mindful of other players looking to scope that loot as well, because there’s not much cover up there.
