Fortnite version 16.50 brings a fan favorite back out from the vault. Those are not just our words, either. Epic posted an official teaser saying this, and this week players are surprised to find the dual pistols back in Fortnite. It’s tough to say if Epic was trolling us with that comment or not, but this was likely not what people were expecting. Either way, here’s where to find dual pistols in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6.
Where to find Dual Pistols in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6
Dual Pistols are available at the Durrr Burger location from the Gutbomb character. You can trade 500 Gold Bars in exchange for one pair of exotic Dual Pistols. Aside from buying Dual Pistols from Gutbomb, you can also randomly find them in loot chests and as floor loot around the Fortnite island.
How to deal damage with Dual Pistols in Fortnite
One of the week eleven challenges in Fortnite is to deal damage with Dual Pistols. If you are trying to complete this quest, you can drop in at the Durrr Burger location in a Team Rumble match, buy a pair of Dual Pistols, and then start a duel with Gutbomb.
You will certainly want to make sure you shield up beforehand, though, because the character does a lot of damage. Taking out Gutbomb should get you somewhere around 800 damage, leaving you about halfway done with the first part of the challenge. From there, glide over to the beach southwest of Holly Hedges and start another duel with Ragnarok. Again, you might want to make sure you have some shields first.
After taking down Ragnarok, you should be at over 1500 damage with Dual Pistols. The challenge will update and show that you now need to do 1500 more damage with Dual Pistols or 3000 in total. From the beach where Ragnarok was, make your way to the Viking ship. Shoot and eliminate Blackheart on the ship, but make sure you shoot after the question mark shows up over his head, or it won’t count. With Blackheart down, you should be at around 2500 damage or so, which means you just need one more target.
Finally, you can visit Blaze just north of Holly Hedges next to the Bonfire. Speak with her and start a duel, and finish her off with the Dual Pistols.
After that, you should be on the final part of the challenge: to deal 1500 more damage or 4500 in total. You can find some wildlife, like in the mountains southeast of Retail Row, for example, and take them out. Each one will give you about 500 damage, so you’ll just need to kill three of them. Rinse and repeat this entire process until you finish each step of the Legendary Quest!
