There is a running “gold” theme to all the images and teasers, along with mentions of access cards, vaults, and agents. Epic has released two official teasers on Twitter which can be seen below.

The Tweets are cryptic, to say the least. A handprint is shown in gold on the first teaser, with no other information other than the new season start date.

The second Tweet shows a fingerprint with a transmission accepted message including the February 20th, 2020 start date for FN.CH02.S02 (Chapter 2, Season 2). There are also some puzzle pieces floating around which might be a weapon model.

The second teaser was posted a couple of hours later. It shows a blurred model in the background along with some more puzzle pieces. The words “hecnhmen” and “acolytes” are also shown in the image in different languages.

The fourth teaser revealed a blurry face and looks like a gold Thanos with a mask on. The text reads “origin = au” and the bottom of the image says 98%, meaning something else is yet to come.

The Tweet below shows the image is referencing the middle of the island for Fortnite’s Chapter 2 map.

On Tuesday, the teasers continued from Epic. This one featuring a gold piece of dynamite, which could mean the item is making a comeback.

Next, they released another image of a blurred propane cannister. Could a big explosion be on the horizon for the Fortnite map?

The next Tweet is a huge bomb that says Ka-Boom on the side of it which reinforces our explosion theory.

A dataminer named HYPEX narrowed a new location down to Slurpy Swamp. There will be an Oil Rig off the coast to the west of this location.

With only one day remaining until the beginning of Season 2, the teasers begin to get strange. A new image is shown with the word “Declassifeowied” along with “Nine Lives”.

The second teaser of Wednesday focuses on the cat theme and includes a ball of yarn and some grenades. Could this mean the introduction of a new item?

Finally, Epic Games advertised the new season through various video ads around the world. The video ad teasers contained some images along with phone numbers for various locations.

When the numbers are called, short voice messages could be heard. A Twitter user @FNLeaksAndInfo compiled all of the messages, which read:

  • “Yes sir, the agents were called. Card to access the safe purchased.”
  • “Agency recruitment drive is a go. Happy hunting, agents. Agents, oil rig operation is a go.”
  • “During ID scanning, access denied, agency communication was interrupted.”
  • “Hiding places were detected, traces were found in the Agent E region, the dormant time was over.”
  • “Acolyte spot. Agent, you are mobilizing.”
  • “Explosive specialist, do not attack! The purpose of the mission has changed, return to the base.”

This concludes all of the various official Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2 teasers from Epic Games. We’ll have to wait until tomorrow to see the changes firsthand.
