Fortnite Automatic Sniper Rifle Introduced In Patch v10.0

Fortnite Battle Royale Season X got its very first patch, and details have just been announced. There will be no downtime for this patch, and Epic Games says players can just hop right in at 7am CT to see the new changes.

A full list of patch notes can be found on Fortnite’s site here. Players will be excited to find many of the leaks from the previous couple weeks have come to fruition. One major addition is the Automatic Sniper Rifle, a long range rifle with a high rate of fire and a damage per shot of 30.

It’s likely this weapon will handle similar to the Drum Shotgun but have a much more accurate shot and longer range. Check out how the weapon feels by heading over to a Creative game and firing a few shots.

Other major changes in this patch include:

  • Automatic Sniper Rifle
    • Available in Rare, Epic, and Legendary variants.
    • Uses Medium Ammo.
    • Projectiles travel faster than other Sniper Rifles.
    • Damage: 31/33/35
      • Headshot: 62/66/70
    • 4 Rounds per second.
    • 16 Rounds per magazine.
    • Uses a reduced zoom scope.
    • Can be found from Floor, Chest, Vending Machines, Supply Drops, and Loot Carriers.
  • Unvaulted weapons that only spawn in Tilted Town:
    • Double Barrel Shotgun
      • Epic and Legendary variants.
    • Six Shooter
      • Uncommon, Rare, and Epic variants.
    • Hunting Rifle
      • Uncommon and Rare variants.
    • Infantry Rifle 
      • Common variant.

As of now, the patch is live for all player to enjoy. Hop into a match and start exploring the new changes for yourself.
