Where to find and deploy Alien Nanites in Fortnite

Week five of Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7 is underway, and we have another Legendary quest chain to work through. This time, you’ll need to accept a call from Doctor Slone at any of the payphones around the map. That begins the six-step quest chain, which entails interacting with a CB Radio and placing a couple of welcome gifts. Step four of six is to deploy something known as Alien Nanites. So, what are Alien Nanites, and where can you find and deploy them in Fortnite? Here’s everything you need to know.

Where to Deploy Alien Nanites in Fortnite

To deploy Alien Nanites in Fortnite, you will want to go to any location with a lot of ground loot. Some good options are at Holly Hatchery, Boney Burbs, or Corny Complex. When you get to any of these locations, be on the lookout for a new item known as Alien Nanites. It sort of looks like a Rubik’s Cube, in case you have trouble finding it.

The Alien Nanites do not spawn at set locations, and they can randomly spawn anywhere that there is ground loot to collect. As of week five, you’ll begin seeing Alien Nanites all over the map, but they seem to be rare compared to other loot like weapons, bandages, and shields.

When you pick up an Alien Nanite, it will equip into a slot like a grenade. Pull it out and throw it in an area with enough room to spawn the large cube-like object. If you throw it in a tight area, you may not get credit for the challenge. It is best to run to an open space and then throw the Alien Nanites.

The cube-like area that spawns will only be available for a brief period. Gravity inside the area behaves differently, and you can tap your jump button to move around in it quickly. It is similar to the new large cube area at Holly Hatchery.
