Minecraft, the world’s most popular video game, is coming out with a new update in the near future. Known as the 1.20 update currently, this new release promises to bring a whole bunch of new things into the game. Already, we are aware of a new tool known as the Brush, and the new block that is coming with it, Suspicious Sand. In this game where players build blocky structures in an infinitely generated world, every new thing can dramatically change the way that gamers play. With a variety of terrifying monsters, animals and resources to chase after or run away from in this game, there is something to love about Minecraft for everyone.
The newest, and most likely last announcement about content being released into Minecraft during the 1.20 update is the Cherry Blossom biome, which looks to be one of the most beautiful biomes out there to date! For those of us that love adventure and exploring, this brand-new biome promises plenty of adventures to come. In this guide, we cover everything that we know about the Cherry Blossom biome and its unique features.

What Can We Expect From the Cherry Blossom Biome?
In this pretty biome, players will be able to obtain a new type of wood that will be available. You can harvest this wood from the new trees in the game, which will only spawn in the Cherry Blossom biome. This wood is able to be used just like most other types in the game, as it is able to be crafted into anything needing wood. This pink biome will certainly add a welcome splash of color to the Overworld, which is the main dimension that players will likely spend the majority of their game in. Although this biome will be rare, it is definitely worth the effort to go looking for due to its special look and aesthetic coloring.
Which Mobs Spawn in the Cherry Blossom Biome?
The animals and mobs that naturally spawn in this biome are pigs, sheep and bees. Of course, when it gets dark there will be hostile mobs prowling around the Cherry Blossom biome as well, but they will spawn anywhere it’s dark regardless of where it is. On the official Minecraft website, it is said that the crowns of the cherry blossom trees are part of what draws animals to this biome, with their flat look making them resemble fluffy pink clouds. While this is likely just a joke, it is no doubt that the Cherry Blossom biome is one of the first in Minecraft to be geared primarily towards aesthetics rather than utility.

Can You Transplant the Cherry Blossom Biome?
For those of us who have already been playing worlds for a while, but love the Cherry Blossom biome, it may seem like we must resign ourselves to the fate of constantly traveling large distances when we wish to visit one. However, gamers around the world can rejoice in the knowledge that Cherry Blossom tree saplings are an item that is also coming in Minecraft’s 1.20 update. The great thing about this is that you can grow your own mini-biome wherever you wish, by transplanting these saplings and continuously farming them from tree leaves.
