Dragonflight Season 2 – What Dungeons Would You Want to See?

Take a Stroll Down Memory Lane.

We will get a new mythic plus dungeon rotation when World of Warcraft’s next season starts. The player base currently has access to four of the eight Dragonflight dungeons. Along with those four, four more dungeons from previous expansions were brought back and updated to current levels. We are beginning to consider what dungeons we would want to see in the forthcoming season as it gets closer and closer.

Something New, Something Old

We like how the ratio of new to old dungeons is now set up. It is fantastic to be able to step away from the grind of current material and engage in some pure nostalgic enjoyment that is still relevant. We already know the start of next season’s rotation because the current season has four of the dungeons from the most recent expansion.

  • Halls of Infusion
  • Brackenhide Hollow
  • Neltharus
  • Uldaman: Legacy of Tyr

From there, things then start to become a bit more intriguing. Four dungeons from earlier expansions were included in Season 1, including two from Legion, one each from Warlords of Draenor and Mists of Pandaria. When making predictions about the new dungeons we want to see, we may expect to see three from the mythic plus difficulty season and one from an expansion that was released before the mythic difficulty was introduced. This opens up a number of really intriguing possibilities for brand-new mythic plus dungeons in season 2.

Familiar Faces

The only options left to us for previous mythic dungeon expansions are Battle for Azeroth, Legion, and Warlords of Dreanor. It is safe to believe it is too early to see any reintroduction of Shadowland dungeons into the rotation.

Battle For Azeroth

  • Freehold — located in the southernmost point of Tiragarde Sound this sanctuary for thieves and pirates would be an extremely entertaining and original addition to the mythic plus dungeon season.

Legion

  • Maw of Souls — The realm visited between life and Helheim is the perfect choice for the new season given that it is a brief but fun and challenging dungeon.

Warlords of Dreanor

  • Upper Blackrock Spire — To keep with the current Dragonflight expansion’s dragon theme, we’d love to return to the mysteries of Neltharion’s black dragonflight.

Mythic + Nostalgia =

Finally, we want to go back in time to a time before mythic dungeons for our last selection. It only makes sense for us to include the expansion Wrath of the Lich King. This is the current expansion in World of Warcraft Classic.

Wrath of the Lich King

  • Halls of Lighting — Ulduar appears in Wrath classic’s second phase. Although not from the same patch, this dungeon maintains the titans’ theme and is our nostalgic selection for the next mythic plus dungeon season.

With World of Warcraft’s extensive history, the options are virtually unlimited. Some members of the Reddit community propose returning to Scarlet Monastery or possibly Deadmines.
