Destiny 2 – Where to Find Abeyant Leap Boots

Crucible players beware...

I’m going over where to find Abeyant Leap boots in Destiny 2. These are the new Strand Titan Exotic introduced with Ligthfall – and out of all the new Exotics, this one has the biggest chance to create a stir in the META. Not everyone will need a pair of these, but if you’re a Titan main – then I’m guessing you play PvP, in which case you absolutely will.

I’m going to go over how to get a pair of Abeyant Leap boots in Destiny 2, as well as why they’re worth grinding for in the first place.

Like other seasonal Exotics in the past, your best bet for snagging a pair of Abeyant Leap Boots in Destiny 2 is to grind out those Legendary and Master Lost Sectors. In the past, this has been the most reliable source of Exotic Armor farming. It’s unlikely that’s going away any time soon.

Every time new Exotic armor is released, Lost Sectors are weighted towards dropping them as rewards. Given Abeyant Leap is a boot Exotic, you’ll want to wait until the daily Lost Sector is boots, and then farm the ever-loving lord out of it.

Alternatively, there is a method of farming Lost Sector Exotics that doesn’t require you to complete a boot-specific sector.

If your Engram slots are full, any Exotics you get from Lost Sectors will be sent to your Post Master. If you don’t open these, then open them on a day with a boots-focused Lost Sector, they will decode into boots – almost guaranteeing you a pair of Abeyant Leaps.

This lets you grind out easier Lost Sectors without having to rely on the rotation armor-slot focusing.

It’s worth noting that Bungie intends to decrease the power of Lost Sector farming, instead driving players more into the core playlists. When these changes come into effect, likely moving into Season 21, the community’s default method of Exotic armor farming may change.

Lastly, you will get a pair of the boots for completing the Lightfall Campaign on Legendary with your Titan. The roll that the boots have will be trash – if it’s anything like the Witch Queen system. So, take that into consideration before you go making any rash commitments.

Why would you even want a pair of Abeyant Leap boots in the first place? With them, any time you cast your Barricade on Strand, it’ll send out seekers that Suspend any targets they find.

In PvE, this will be alright. However, if my prediction is correct – these will be cracked in PvP. It’s essentially an instant way to stop enemies from moving. If you’ve played any amount of Crucible, you’ll know how powerful that is.

If you’re a PvE player, these might be worth pursuing for experimentation with some Strand builds. PvP players, though, will absolutely want to get their hands on a pair of these.
