Destiny 2 Smite of Merain God Rolls Guide

One of the better weapons King's Fall has to offer.

We’ve got two Destiny 2 Smite of Merain god rolls here for you. Both of them are exceptionally good and have been dominating the Destiny 2 PvE sandbox since the release with King’s Fall. Our aim with these Smite of Merain god rolls is to squeeze as much value out of the weapon as possible – whether that’s in the form of pure damage, or other utility.

We’re going to go through both Smite of Merain god rolls in detail. We’ll talk about why we picked the perks we did, as well as potential alternatives you can explore. Smite of Merain is one of the best pulse rifles in the game, and these rolls are why.

  • Arrowhead Break.
  • Accurized Rounds.
  • Demolitionist.
  • Firefly.

This Smite of Merain god roll is all about that Demolitionist/Firefly combination. Arrowhead Break and Accurized Rounds come together to help this weapon perform in gunfights, but it’s the other two perks that give it all its power.

Demolitionist is the best choice in Smite of Merain’s column three bar-none. With it, every kill with Smite of Merain will regen 10% of our grenade energy, and throwing a grenade will automatically reload this 38-round mag pulse rifle. Compare that to Firepower, a valuable mod that takes up a combat mod slot and only returns 15% of grenade energy when you use your grenade, and you should be able to see why Demolitionist is so powerful.

Column four of Smite of Merain is jam-packed full of S-tier perks. Out of that bunch, I’m recommending Firefly for this god roll. Not being able to take one of the damage-increasing perks hurts, sure, but Firefly is just too good to not use.

It may not synergize with Demolitionist very well, but the two of them are incredible perks individually, so that doesn’t really matter.

This Smite of Merain god roll is incredible – but it’s far from the only option you have available to you. For those Guardians out there looking for a little more synergy between Merain’s perks – I’ve got an alternative god roll for you.

  • Arrowhead Break.
  • Accurized Rounds.
  • Demolitionist.
  • Adrenaline Junkie.

Sure, three of the four perks here are the same between both god rolls. However, Arrowhead Break and Accurize Rounds are far from mandatory, and Demolitionist is just the best-in-class perk available for that column. The only thing that should really change between Smite of Merain god rolls is the last perk.

There are a few good options besides Firefly, but none of them stand out like Adrenaline Junkie does. Whereas Demolitionist is going to be keeping our grenade uptime up, Adrenaline Junkie will be letting us take advantage of that.

The perk is one of the few standard damage-increasing perks. Like others, it has five tiers up to a maximum 33% damage increase. Each kill you get with the gun bumps you up a tier and keeps the buff’s timer active. Any kills you get with your grenade also count as a weapon kill, which is where the synergy with Demolitionist comes into play.

This Smite of Merain god roll is exceptional for anyone running a grenade-based build, but the Firefly variant is more versatile and flexible – all things considered.

Either way, both of these Smite of Merain god rolls are great, so get grinding King’s Fall. The more runs you clear, the higher your chances of getting enough Smite of Merain red borders to craft one.
