How to Get Wendigo GL3 in Destiny 2 Lightfall?

The Wendigo GL3 can be obtained when you complete the Nightfall weekly challenge. But, it won’t have a drop chance every week. Nightfall has a rotation system and different weapons will be available as drops every week. Nevertheless, Wendigo GL3 should be available a couple of times during a single season. So if you want to put your hands on one of these, pay special attention to when they are in rotation.

When you notice that Wendigo GL3 is in rotation, just start completing multiple strikes until you get it. The higher the difficulty the better the chances you will get this weapon, but in the end, it comes down to the gods of RNG so don’t get frustrated if you don’t get it on the first try.

Wendigo GL3 God Roll in Destiny 2 Lightfall

When you are looking for ideal perks on your Wendigo GL3 you can go two ways. Either look for boss-murdering buffs or AoE control and damage buffs.

If you are interested in clearing out a lot of enemies something like the Chain Reaction trait can be helpful as it deals damage in a 3m radius upon every kill. Golden Tricorn will grant 15% bonus damage every time you kill an enemy so it will expand your ability to clear multiple enemies in a row (if you have good accuracy that is).

However, we would suggest you go for the version that turns elites into dust. The Explosive Light trait will stack up on damage and boost your grenade launcher immensely. Add the Hard Launch barrel to increase the projectile speed (with a small sacrifice to stability and blast radius) and Auto-Loading Holster that will let you empty your Wendigo GL3 on your enemies, stow it while shooting with a secondary weapon, and switch back to the grenade launcher that’s ready to rumble. This will allow for the most efficient damage over time output.

Frenzy is a trait that can do wonders for both builds as it increases damage, reload speed, and handling when you are in combat for a long time.
