How to Farm Sharp Flavor in Destiny 2

How to Farm Sharp Flavor in Destiny 2

Get enough Sharp Flavor to bake enough Dawning treats for everyone.

Destiny 2’s Dawning Christmas event is back again. This time around, though, all of the ingredients seem to have a much lower drop rate. This isn’t too much of a surprise given Bungie’s previous attempts to prevent players burning through event content in a few days.

The developers haven’t explicitly said anything, though, leaving a lot of people in the dark. I’m here to shed light on things. Particularly, I’m going to show you how you can farm Sharp Flavor in Destiny 2.

Sharp Flavor is one of the more elusive rare ingredients, but once you use my farming method, you’ll have more than enough to bake everyone’s favorite Dawning treats.

How to Get Sharp Flavor in Destiny 2

Sharp Flavor is a rare ingredient acquired by defeating enemies with a sword. You can use any type of sword with any element.

The issue isn’t really how you go about getting the kills, it’s getting enough kills to get a decent amount of Sharp Flavor.

For any of you well-versed in Destiny 2’s PvE endgame, you probably already know what I’m about to suggest. For the rest of you, listen up.

Anytime you need a significant amount of kills for any reason, from exotic catalyst to bounty farming, you have three efficient options:

  • Thrallway in the Shattered Throne.
  • The Loot Cave in Grasp of Avarice
  • Shuro Chi in Last Wish.

All three of these encounters throw ads at you like they’re nothing. For farming Sharp Flavor, though, one is clearly superior: Shuro Chi.

You can skip straight to Shuro Chi by using the Wish Wall just before the first encounter in the Last Wish Raid. Once you teleport there, you’re going to have around 80 or so Taken Thrall running at you each time you restart the fight.

Combine that with the Rally Flag spot that you have before triggering the encounter every reset and you have a combination of infinite sword ammo and lots of enemies to farm Sharp Flavor off.

This method will also help you farm Taken Butter. So, if you’re in a rush and need Sharp Flavor straight away, head to the Dreaming City. If it can wait, just equip a sword and go have some fun. You’ll earn some Sharp Flavor sooner or later.
