Destiny 2 Fans Blast Bungie For Not Adding New Exotic Armor Pieces in Season 19

Some Fans Have Expressed Their Frustration

It would seem that Destiny 2 players aren’t very happy. As we get ready to enter the nineteenth season of Bungie’s long-running game, regular players are upset about the lack of new exotic armor pieces. In Destiny 2, exotic armor refers to equipment that can provide special abilities to players who equip it. But, as of writing, it would appear that there are no new additions to this category in season 19.

“I guess they got ahead of the game and instead of disabling new exotic armor they just didn’t make any,” said one user in a thread posted to the r/DestinyTheGame subreddit. Another user echoed a similar sentiment, saying “Instead of disabling the new hunter exotic for most of the season we’ve decided to just not release any of them.”

But, according to another thread, it might be a little too soon to get upset.

“Light.gg says there isn’t [any exotic armor pieces] but that there is exotic “unnamed item” armor pieces in the api so I guess they haven’t been released yet?” said one user. In a third thread, a user said these items could be related to the new weapon being introduced. But, they also conceded that they could be hidden exotic armors. “Maybe they’re intending on releasing the armors with the Dungeon? Would be weird, though.”

Destiny 2: Season of the Seraph began on December 6, and is planned to run through February 28. It’s possible that Bungie intends on releasing new exotic armors later in the season. But, as of publication, there is no concrete proof of this, either. Light.gg, a Destiny 2 database has listed several ‘unnamed items‘ that are “not yet ready to be seen.”
