Darkmoon Faire Rep Buff Guide in World of Warcraft Dragonflight

The Darkmoon Faire in World of Warcraft Dragonflight is home to all kinds of tricks and treats (seasonal or otherwise) on the first Sunday of every month. If you get the chance to visit, you can receive lots of helpful buffs and items, one of the most helpful being a temporary buff to the rate at which you gain EXP and Rep.

This buff has a very simple name: “WHEE!” Try saying it, it’s fun. With the WHEE! buff, all EXP and Rep you gain will be boosted by 10%. The catch is that the amount of time the buff is active is dependent on the lengths you went to get it.

Receiving the WHEE! Buff

To receive the WHEE! buff, you need to ride either the Darkmoon Carousel or Darkmoon Coaster. To do that, you need to get some Darkmoon Ride Tickets. There are a couple of NPCs near the Faire’s entrance named Mae Ti and Kae Ti who sell Ride Ticket Books, though the price of one depends on your level. They can cost as low as 50 coppers to as high as 1 gold.

If you expend a Darkmoon Ride Ticket to ride the Darkmoon Coaster, you’ll receive a 1-hour duration WHEE! buff upon finishing the ride. If you choose to ride the Darkmoon Carousel instead, you’ll receive five minutes of WHEE! time for every few seconds you continue to ride, up to a maximum of 1 hour. One word of warning: the WHEE! buff does not persist through death. If you get yourself killed while it’s active, you’ll need to ride a ride at the Faire again to get it back. It does stack with other buffs to EXP and Rep, though.

If you’d like a quick boost to your gains when you play Dragonflight, don’t forget to make a quick stop at the Darkmoon Faire! There are certainly worse ways to start your day than a quick jaunt on the carousel.
