Cyberpunk 2077 Gangs: Factions of Night City

This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Night City has seven gangs we know of so far in Cyberpunk 2077. In April, CD Projekt Red released all of the Cyberpunk 2077 gang logos in high quality for the Cyber-Up case modding contest.

Before that, we didn’t know much of anything about the gangs in the game. We slowly got more and more information from Twitter in the past few months. Now, we have an idea of all the different gangs in Night City.

Each gang in Night City has their own ways of life, beliefs, and traits. Before the Cyberpunk 2077 release date, you may want to read up on these gangs so you know what you might encounter in the world. You never know whose territory you might be impeding on.

You will also encounter megacorporations in Night City. These power-hungry entities are bent on controlling and influencing the city in any way possible. Expect some run-ins with the Arasaka, Militech, and Kang-Tao corporations throughout Cyberpunk 2077 as well.

The Cyberpunk 2077 gangs in Night City are:

6th Street Gang

Veterans of the 4th Corporate War are the founders of the 6th Street gang. While they initially sought to protect the community, their version of the law and justice is a bit unorthodox. They now protect only their own and cannot be counted on to protect the community.

Animals Gang

Animals are aggressive street-fighters from west Pacifica. Their ultra testosterone supplements turn them animalistic, and they love to show off their violent side. These gangsters are determined to be the most badass group of people Night City has ever seen. Voodoo Boys consider this gang to be their number one enemy.

Maelstrom Gang

The Maelstrom gang handles the industrial part of Watson, and they love their cyber tech. Among the ranks are mostly ex-Metal Warriors gangsters, a group decimated by the Inquisitors. Maelstrom members are all hostile, and most suffer from cyberpsychosis due to an overdose of cyberware tech. You will encounter most of these guys over at the docks and favorite spots like Totentanz Club.

Moxes

The Moxes got together after the death of Lizzie Borden, a local strip club owner. Their mission is to protect the working girls and guys from violence and abuse. Among their ranks are punks and adult entertainment workers who are not above shady business and violence.

Tyger Claws

A Japanese booster gang of Night City that likes to hang out in the district of Westbrook, aka Japantown. They protect the Japanese community with support from the most powerful megacorps. This gang is known to prey on and exploit tourists looking for pleasure.

Voodoo Boys

Voodoo Boys are an enigmatic gang from Pacifica, a dangerous district in Cyberpunk 2077. They break every rule known to man, and program viruses capable of freezing neural networks. The gang plays an essential role in the Pacifica district and Haitian and Dominican communities that live there.

Valentinos Gang

The Valentinos gang has a strong moral code and old traditions. They control the Latino areas of Heywood, and value honor, justice, and brotherhood above all else. This gang is one of the newest additions to Cyberpunk and Night City.
