How to Make a Weapon in Core Keeper

Here’s how to make a weapon in Core Keeper:

  1. Press the tab key on your keyboard
  2. Find the Basic Workbench in the Crafting menu
  3. Left-click the Basic Workbench to make one with 8 Wood
  4. Equip the Basic Workbench in your action bar and place it on a tile
  5. Press E in front of the Basic Workbench
  6. Find the Copper Sword under the Tools menu
  7. Left-click the Copper Sword to make one with 6 Copper Bars
  8. Equip the sword in your action bar

Voila, you now have the most basic weapon in Core Keeper. The Copper Sword has the following stats:

  • Damage: 39-47 melee damage
  • APS: 2.5 attacks per second
  • Durability: 250/250

Overall, the Copper Sword a good weapon for slaying low-level monsters you might find around your base like slimes.

If you’re unsure of how to get the Copper Bars required to make the Copper Sword, here’s what you need to know. First, you’ll probably want to make yourself a Wood Pickaxe. Start digging outward from your base in any direction. Pay attention to any sparkling tiles in the darkness. The sparklies are usually indicative of a copper node. You can mine those to get copper ore. Then, bring the copper ore to your Furnace and turn it into Copper Bars.

When you begin finding higher-quality metals, you can make various other, more powerful weapons. However, since you’re first starting out in Core Keeper, you’ll need to progress through the game to get to that point, and the Copper Sword will keep you safe for a while.
