Collect Metal at Hydro 16 or Compact Cars

In this week’s Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 Location Domination Challenges, you’ll have to go around harvesting some metal. We have another two weeks of challenges available. This guide will show you where to go to collect metal at Hydro 16 or Compact Cars.

Collect Metal at Hydro 16 or Compact Cars

You can decide between the two locations, either Hydro 16 or Compact Cars, to complete this challenge. Like all of the Location Domination Challenges, this is a three part challenge. You will have to collect 250 metal, then 750 metal, and then 1500 metal to receive the full XP bonuses.

We recommend going to Compact Cars because there are tons of different car piles that will get you a lot of metal. There’s not much at Hydro 16 other than the generators, so we’ll head over to Compact Cars instead.

Compact Cars Location

This location is west of Dirty Docks. You can easily find it between Frenzy Farm and Dirty Docks, to the east of the river. It’s a metal scrapping compound where the crush cars into metal cubes and stack them on top of each other.

All you need to do here is harvest the metal with your pickaxe. There is no special trick required for completing this challenge quickly. Just go around destroying the cars and collecting your metal until you have enough.

If you really want to go to Hydro 16, here’s the location on the Fortnite map. It can be found east of Slurpy Swamp, just before the lake.

You will find a bunch of generators in this area you can destroy for metal. There’s also some dumpsters, light poles, and other various objects as well.
