In DMZ, players can loot various equipment and tools to increase their survival odds inside this Warzone 2.0 Game Mode. One of these finds is the special DMZ Keys. Which when finding what door these Keys open, will offer randomized loot inside. As it is randomized, sometimes your visit will not feel worthwhile. However, other times you may be the luckiest person on the battlefield. These special Keys also randomly spawn in without a set location to their name. This is our guide on how to obtain special Keys and find the Channel 7 Secure Record Room to open with its Key.

How to Obtain Keys in DMZ

There are two types of Keys available in the game; common and special. Both can be found through searching various containers such as duffle bags, supply boxes or on fallen militia. When checking the Key that you have obtained, look inside your bag and you will determine its type by its icon color. Common is grey and special is gold. Special Keys will have some kind of title etched into its metal, these hint at the possible location of the door it opens. Although, Keys are randomly generated, we recommend locating for the Post Office Key. This will reward you with an average of 5 special Keys when visiting the Downtown Post Office of Al-Mazrah City. Look for the Mail icon on the map to pinpoint its location.

You should attempt to prioritise fighting lower value enemies for special Keys. These are enemies that you can drop very quickly and are found in all name locations on the Map. Your best bet is to stay inside of Al -Mazrah City when looting for the special Keys. However, if this does not work, use a vehicle to fast-travel around and focus on enemies to kill. Once the Post Office Key is found, head to Al Mazrah and search the mail boxes inside the Post Office for Keys.

Alternatively, you can head to the Buy Station and a special Key will be available there for you to buy. We cannot say that the Channel 7 or Post Office Keys will be here as it is also randomized. However, it is a good place to start just to tick it off the list of special Key locations. Remember to check bags, crates and on bodies for special Key drops.

What Does the Secure Records Room Key Open?

Channel 7 Station can be found on the north-east side of Al-Mazrah City. It is beyond the top bridge that goes to the east side of the City across the River. You will find the Station above the name location of the City on the Map. Refer to the screenshot below of the location of the Station and the Secure Record Building. The Station is marked by the green player icon and where you need to go is marked by the white arrow location marker. As you can see, from the Station, the building you want is only 90 meters away. You want to head to the building on the right hand side of the Station, the vertical rectangle on the Map.

You can enter this building via its front door. The door in question is located on the ground floor. Look out for the door marked with a graffitied white cross. You will see ‘Unlock Ch7 Secure Record Room’ as you approach to interact. Make sure to look this room in its entirety, including the bookcase. You will see the orange Supply Box as you open the door, its loot is randomized. A weapon also spawns in this room beside the Supply Box. This room is known for having better loot than others so when prioritizing what special Key to target, the Channel 7 Room should be on your list.
