Chained Echoes – How to Defeat Randomage

No random dragon will stop me.

Battles are won not only by being strong, but mostly by being strategic. Specially if you are faced with an enemy that will obliterate you if you get distracted even for a second. Well, I don’t know if that is the case of Randomage per se, but you definitely need to disarm this beast in order to even attempt to deal some damage, let alone defeat him entirely. Well, quit with the frustration, today we will address this battle and put an end to Randomage’s randomness and double attacks once and for all. Here is how to defeat Randomage in Chained Echoes.

How to Defeat Randomage

The confrontation with Randomage in his little dimension is not necessarily a very complex one. Oh, but it is in fact a very frustrating one indeed. You see, Randomage has an assortment of attacks that ranges from AoE attacks to random buffs and debuffs to every character (therefore his name of Randomage). Also, he will summon minions to help him when he begins to weaken. The thing is, that Randomage has an ability called Dual Cast, which allows him to perform two consecutive actions. And therefore, the frustration I mentioned.

So, given that this is an agility-based attack, you will want to boost your character’s agility and debuff Randomage’s agility at the same time. You should also use status ailments to make Randomage’s spells erratic. And of course, boost your characters’ attack and defense while debuffing Randomage’s attack and defense. Keeping your Overdrive on the green area is the key to defeating Randomage. Continue using this strategy and you will be able to defeat him.

Once defeated, you will get a Grimoire Shard, as well as the Earth Tablet, which is the object he was protecting outside his dimensions. Just don’t get frustrated if you don’t win this fight on your first try, or even your second one. Patience and strategy is the key. Just go on and deal those debuffs, and you will be on the way to conquering Randomage.
