Killing gods may be a job better suited for a certain Spartan warrior, but sometimes the most difficult tasks are entrusted to the littlest ones in the world. With that being said, fighting the God King Gaemdriel is something that I don’t wish even to my biggest enemy. Well, maybe I do, but even so, it is a quite difficult battle. In fact, it is the most difficult battle in the game! What can we do to overcome this much evil in the world? Well, reading a guide on how to do it, of course! Here is how to defeat God King Gaemdriel in Chained Echoes.

How to Defeat God King Gaemdriel

Well, we sure have a problem here. Gaemdriel, the God King, surely is up to his title. You see, not only he has a lot of buffs, debuffs, AoE attacks, and single target attacks, but he has two modes in which he operated. He can do physical attacks while in Physical Mode, and he can use the deadliest spells while in, you guessed it, Magical Mode. And if that’s not enough, he also has the ability to attack three times in a row. Well, we might as well give up now to spare us the embarrassment and, well, death. Right? Well, no, there are a couple of things you can do to turn the battle tides to your favor.

He will start in Physical Mode, throwing punches and kicks all over the faces of our characters. He will be using his thrice ability as well. What you need to do is counter this attack with a character that can accumulate Hate quickly (Egyl, for example), and attract Gaemdriel’s attention. If you debuff Gaemdriel’s attacks, Egyl could probably act as a tank while the others continue buffing and debuffing. And, just like with Randomage, boosting your agility and debuffing his is the way to go as well.

Then, Gaemdriel will change to Magical Mode. You will need to change your strategy, which will now be: hold, and hold tight. You need to increase your Resistance as much as you can, so you can overcome the magical spells that Gaemdriel will throw at you. Heal away and just wait for Gaemdriel’s resistance to falter, then hit him with the best you got.

After a while, Gaemdriel will switch back to Physical Mode. Do the same as before with your tank, and continue buffing and debuffing. Do this to the best of your abilities, and you will defeat Gaemdriel, the God King, at last.

Once defeated, you will get a couple of rewards for your troubles: the ususal Grimoirse Shard, a King’s Monument, and 20,000a with 50SP from the Reward Board. Congratulations on beating the hardest battle in the game. I hope you have enjoyed your journey all the way to this point, and I hope you didn’t die a lot while doing so.
