Can You Upgrade Weapons in Redfall?

If Left 4 Dead and Overwatch had a child it would probably be Redfall. This vampire survival-shooter reminds us a bit of many games that we’ve previously tried but in a way, it does offer a new experience that we haven’t seen before.

While shooting their way through the different quest locations players will use a variety of weapons and that’s why many of them wondered if they could upgrade them in any way. Dive in and find out what kind of upgrading/customization can be done with your weapons in Redfall.

Is Upgrading Weapons Possible in Redfall?

In short, yes. There are some upgrades available for your weapons in Redfall but they won’t be your typical upgrades such as the ones available in Warhammer 40k: Darktide.

In Redfall you won’t be able to level up weapons. Instead, you will be picking up more rare and advanced weaponry as you progress through the game and get rid of the previous ones. This is certainly good from a versatility standpoint but limits your options.

What you will be able to do is customize the skins of your weapons and adjust them to match your style. However, these are purely cosmetics and don’t add to the weapon’s capabilities. You will also be able to add blade attachments called stakes to your weapons. Stakes will help you finish off stunned vampires and can be added to some weapons that have the stake slot available. There will be a wide range of stakes to choose from and we definitely had some fun when choosing these.
