Where to Find the Basswood Safehouse Key in Redfall – Location Guide

With a high standard set for their previous games being that of fantastical adventures that focus on stealthier gameplay like Metal Gear Solid or all out action like Wolfenstein, but Redfall is an open-world surrounded by supernaturally creatures where you play as a Hero looking to eradicate the infestation of hostile Vampires. With the option to play solo or with a team, you have many opportunities to loot up, complete missions and take out hoards of enemies along the way. There are a lot of locked spaces, typical for an open-world game but unlike others, the key can usually be found right under your nose. Location Guide for the Basswood Safehouse Key in Redfall

The Basswood Safehouse is located on the north-east side of Redfall, just east of the river that flows north into the sea. This locked space, unlike others, appears as a red Cellar Door against the side of the house. To open it however, its Safehouse Key is required to be used on the Generator opposite the Cellar Door. The Generator specifically can be found past the parked cars close to the Safehouse, all you need to do is follow the route of the wires as they connect to both points of interest.

As Redfall really took their time figuring out where exactly to place these Keys, you will not believe where the location of the Safehouse Key is. In fact, you will have passed it time and time again, looking for the Key in places where you may assume would be a more demanding but rewarding location once found. No, instead all you need to do is check the blue old school car (not great with models as you can tell), directly to the left of the Cellar Door and in front of the Generator. You will find the Key inside the Car Door itself and upon picking it up, the Alarm will sound which will alert nearby enemies to your position.

Because of the Car Alarm, you will need to quickly interact with the Generator to restore power and run to the Cellar Door which will be operational now. Make sure that you hold the Interact Key when restoring power to the Generator, otherwise you will have to retry. Getting inside will grant you with Safehouse Missions relevant to the Basswood Safehouse.
