Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 Content

As mentioned above, Call of Duty Season 3 is coming to an end in about 29 days. Season 4 will be starting on that same day, which means we’ll be looking at a June 2 release date. There are some exciting updates around the corner for the Season 4 launch.

Taylor Kurosaki, Studio Narrative Director for Infinity Ward, recently did an interview with GamerGen, which contains a lot of good information. To start, Kurosaki says the Modern Warfare storyline will continue in Season 4 with new operators being introduced to the game. This may not come as a surprise to anyone, though it’s now been confirmed.

Mysteries of Verdansk

Players have already discovered that there is a whole other part of Verdansk they haven’t seen yet. They have found clues, and that there is more than meets the eye in this city. Season 4 will unravel some of those mysteries and unlock some of them for our players. As the battle in Verdansk wages on, things will grow more desperate. There are going to be more and more fighters sent in to turn the tide and we’re very excited to get our players to see and join alongside these new great warriors as they continue to fight.

We also have some more information about a “whole other part of Verdansk”, which likely refers to the bunkers and the Red Access Cards.

Call of Duty Warzone Season 4 New Modes and Loot

Amos Hodge, Creative Director for Raven Software, was also part of this interview. He mentioned new modes and new loot, in general, will also be coming to Season 4. We also learned Duos is officially coming for Warzone, but the team is still working on some things in regard to that mode.

PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will be here for the 2020 holiday season. This begs the question as to how the team plans to support Warzone on next-gen consoles. Taylor mentions they have plans to support Warzone far beyond the Modern Warfare franchise.

We’re in kind of uncharted territories here. Call of Duty has been on a very regular cadence for many many years, and Warzone has made us rethink exactly how best to release new content and how to integrate it. Call of Duty is a genre in itself, there are different branches in the Call of Duty tree, but they’re all connected in some ways. Warzone will be the through-line that connects all of the different various sub-franchises of Call of Duty.

According to their response, Warzone will be the glue that connects all of the different Call of Duty sub-franchises. This is the official confirmation that Warzone will be a part of the upcoming Call of Duty games.

Warzone has a bright future ahead, as we learned from this interview.
