In the later stages of the game when gameplay becomes much more involved and perplexing as to how to most effectively fight bosses, get the best damage output, or find certain items.
Apothecary cards are divine cards that many players are interested in getting and that’s why we decided to delve into how to best farm them. Read on to find out.
Apothecary Cards Farming
Before you embark on a journey called farming for Apothecary cards you need to know that you should get yourself enough map area items. Areas that will have them are Crimson Temple, Crimson Township, Defiled Cathedral, and Haunted Mansion. So, strange as it may sound, it basically means that you have to farm maps before you can farm Apothecary cards.
Since Apothecary cards come as a drop from killing monsters in the abovementioned areas, it means that your farming technique will revolve around spawning more enemies on those maps and increasing the chances of getting the card from a monster kill.

Picking the Right Nodes on The Atlas Tree
The first thing to do here is to have a solidly built nodes Atlas Tree. This means that you should pay attention to nodes that can potentially bring you more items. Now, because it won’t always be clear which nodes can aid this cause we have a list for you.
Look for nodes that:
- Mention Item Quantity bonus
- Mention Item Quantity and Rarity bonus
- Add to Harbinger Chance
- Provide Map Drop Duplication
- Provide better Abyss Chance
- Give higher Breach Monster density
- Increase Strongbox Item Quantity and Diviner’s Strongbox Chance
Additionally don’t miss taking Wandering Path which will increase the effect of Small Atlass passive skills by 100%. Naturally, you won’t be able to get all of these nodes at once, but you can see which ones are nearest to your current node choices and branch out from those.
Get the Right Scarabs
Scarabs are map fragments that can be used to augment areas you visit and provide some extra perks or bonuses once you are inside. We would recommend you get the following Scarabs for your Apothecary card farming:
- Divination Scarab – adds percentage-based increase to divination cards dropped in the area
- Abyss Scarab – adds an additional Abyss to an area and causes all Abysses to spawn more monsters
- Breach Scarab – enables an area to have Breaches and adds additional Breaches
- Ambush Scarab – extra Strongboxes are added to the area
- Harbinger Scarab – adds extra Harbingers to an area
Scarabs can come in different qualities: Rusted, Polished, Gilded, and Winged. The better the quality the stronger the effect of the equipped Scarb and the better the chances of you finding Apothecary cards.
Get the Right Sextants
Sextants can help you in a similar way Scarabs can. They are currency items that can be used on the Watchstone and modify all the maps in one region. The bonuses vary but again go for those that add extra Abysses, spawn more monsters, increase the item quantity, and give extra Strongboxes.
There are four types of Sextants – Simple, Prime, Awakened, and Elevated. Each is rare than the previous one and adds extra bonuses to buffed regions.
As you can see farming Apothecary cards isn’t one single thing you can do, but instead a multiple-step journey through which you are increasing your chances of getting them. Patience and consistency will be key for this, so make sure you are armed with both.
