Best Titan Builds For Destiny 2 Lightfall

Don't let the legendary campaign get you down.

I’m going to run you through what I consider to be the three best Titan builds for Destiny 2 Lightfall. I’ve got a selection of the Light 3.0 subclasses here – so there’s no Stasis or Strand, sorry. Stasis Titan is possibly the worst subclass in the game, and we haven’t had enough time to put together anything decent with Strand.

These three Titan builds, however, are tried and tested. Each one has cemented its place in the PvE META, and there are various reasons for that.

Destiny 2 Lightfall – Best Titan Builds

Aspects:

  • Controlled Demolition.
  • Bastion.

Fragments:

  • Persistence.
  • Leeching.
  • Prevision.

Exotic:

  • Second Chance.

The whole aim of this Void Titan build is to keep your Overshield up as much as possible. It focuses on keeping you alive, meaning it excels at harder content.

You do lose a good bit of offensive power, though. This makes it inefficient at most levels of gameplay – anything below Legendary.

That being said, you will want to keep this in your back pocket for when Grandmasters are back. It’s one of the best Titan builds in Destiny 2 Lightfall for endgame, so don’t go running it in regular Strikes.

Aspects:

  • Sol Invictus.
  • Roaring Flames.

Fragments:

  • Torches.
  • Benevolence.
  • Char.
  • Eruption.

Exotic:

  • Loreley Splendor.

This isn’t just one of the best Titan builds in Destiny 2 Lightfall – it’s one of the best builds, period. The amount of survivability Sol Invictus grants you is insane. It speaks volumes that this build’s main source of damage is its melee, and yet it’s still viable at end-game PvE.

This Solar Titan build can get risky – it requires constant close-quarters combat. So, if you mess up your timings or a Hammer Throw, you’re going to be in a fair bit of trouble. That’s what Loreley is for, though, patching up an otherwise obvious weakness with this build.

This Solar Titan build is exceptional for everything except Grandmasters. In particular, it’s phenomenal for solo Dungeon attempts. If the WANTED title from Spire has been giving you trouble – this build should resolve that for you.

Aspects:

  • Touch of Thunder.
  • Knockout.

Fragments:

  • Shock.
  • Ion.
  • Magnitude.
  • Resistance.

Exotic:

  • Heart of Inmost Light.

This used to be the single best Titan build in all of Destiny 2, and then Lightfall came and brought with it a devastating Heart of Inmost Light nerf. Despite that nerf, this build is still very strong and worth using – it just doesn’t solo like it used to.

This Arc Titan build is all about your Storm Grenade. Your entire Aspect and Fragment loadout are dedicated to not only increasing the power of that grenade but also your grenade regeneration. You’ll be creating contact Ionic Traces with this build, and that’ll be your main source of grenade energy.

Heart of Inmost Light will help amplify that regeneration, granted not nearly to the same extent it used to. Still, if you pace yourself and your ability usage, you’ll still find this build effective at all levels of gameplay.
