The recent changes to weapons in MW2 Season 2 patch notes has tuned the meta around. The most commonly seen assault rifle, RPK, has received another nerf. With a couple of nerfs over two patches, players have turned to the old school Light Machine Gun, Sakin MG38.
The Sakin beats RPK in pretty much all the important departments including killing time, damage per magazine, and bullet velocity. Getting the deserving attention of Call Of Duty players, we have no choice but to craft the best loadout for them.
Best Sakin MG38 Loadout for MW2 Season 2
The Sakin has good things going for it. We will focus on improving the drawbacks of the LMG using our meticulously crafted loadout.

- Barrel — We are using the UEN Silver Series Barrel. This will help improve bullet velocity and give us some recoil control.
- Underbarrel — The Cronen WL55 will add to recoil control by providing more stability when shooting.
- Ammunition — It is extremely important to use the 7.62 High Velocity rounds. This will help increase the bullet velocity.
- Laser — The FSS OLE-V Laser help with accuracy and overall weapon handling. It will increase the aim down sight speed, which is the fundamental problem with most LMGs. We are essentially converting the Sakin MG38 into an AR in MW2.
- Optic — Moving to optics, we are using Aim OP-V4. This one’s probably the most used optic in the game.
Our build focuses on having good recoil control and yet feeling snappy in fast-paced combat. If you are looking to replace your favorite ARs, this is the best you can get.
If you want more recoil control, you can opt for a good grip, muzzle, and a good stock. However, putting all those things will affect your speed and make the Sakin MG38 a little sluggish.
