Hogwarts Legacy has a colorful cast of NPC’s. Have you ever just stopped doing quests or stopped trying to find field guide pages and looked around? You really should try people watching on Hogwarts Legacy, or in this case, poltergeist watching. Watching Peeves interact with children or anyone in general is absolutely hysterical. Peeves has no shame because he’s not alive, so, it would make sense that he would just go off the rails every once in a while. I’m not e only one who has caught Peeves do crazy things. Here are the best random encounters with Peeves in Hogwarts Legacy.
Peeves Hogwarts Legacy
Who is Peeves and why does he matter? Peeves is a ghost who appears in the game and you first come in contact with him during a quest with Sebastian. He sort of reminds me of the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland or DC Comics, Batman series. To the librarian at Hogwarts, he’s an asset, because he tells on people entering zones they shouldn’t be in. For classmates, such as Sebastian, he’s a menace. According to Harry Potter, Peeves is actually a spirit that takes on childish mischief. We’re not getting deep into his history because Peeves is so annoying I don’t care.
Here’s other reasons why Peeves is a menace and deserves to be exiled from Hogwarts. I am not the one stirring the pot. The players are. This is what other players have experienced while randomly encountering Peeves in Hogwarts Legacy.
1. Cheeky Peeves
Okay, so, sometimes Peeves is actually hilarious when he’s not torturing everyone around him. I guess in this case he is torturing children and thankfully it’s not us. He knocked books out of a kids hand and prevented them from walking. Childish. Straight childish. If Peeves knocked a book out of my hand while I was just trying to get to class I’d probably start fighting him. Even if all my hits would miss because, well, Peeves is a spirit.
2. Leave Him alone!
Absolute MENACE. Do you see what I mean? Look at how terrified this kid is. Judging by the books he was just heading to class, but no, Peeves decides to torment the poor child. He just speaks in riddles and after some time you just get sick of listening. Is he even making sense? Who knows. Another moment of him knocking books out of children’s hands.
3. Potions Class
Don’t ever try to go to class when Peeves is around. Imagine trying to use dangerous ingredients while mixing potions and all of a sudden you see a Carnivorous Chomping Cabbage coming at you at full speed? We’re not sure what the actual ingredient was but Peeves was throwing random ingredients at this poor player. The worst part is that you couldn’t keep the ingredients in your inventory.
4. Don’t tell Peeves to Stop
Peeves is absolutely delighted when he feels as if he’s getting under someone’s skin. When he hears the desperation in this girls voice he goes harder. At first it was just speaking in rhymes and being just somewhat annoying. As the poor student shouted for him to stop he decided to become even more annoying and conjure all of their belongings in the air. We need to do something about Peeves you guys. Petition for him to leave Hogwarts. I’ll be the first signature.
5. What We Should be Doing to Peeves
This is the only acceptable form of punishment we can do. This video demonstrates how we all feel about Peeves. Thankfully he’s not doing anything but sitting there, and even then, it’s downright annoying. What is he plotting? This player wasn’t about to let him plot any longer because they decided to cast every fire spell possible. Since he’s a poltergeist it just went straight through him but points for trying.
