All the guns available in CS:GO have made their way to Counter-Strike 2. And while they all fire about the same, people have commented on how guns feel now with the new sub-tick rate in the game. For our list, we’ll be ranking the 5 best handguns in Counter-Strike 2, ranked from worst to best. We’ll be providing a small blurb of info on our list as to why they’ve made the list. While there are more pistols players can equip in the game, these 5 will make sure you stand the best chance in an eco round. Here are the best handguns in Counter-Strike 2:

  1. USP-S (best CT starting pistol)
  2. P250 (best eco buy pistol)
  3. Tec-9 (best run & gun pistol)
  4. R8 Revolver (best amateur-friendly high-caliber pistol)
  5. Desert Eagle (best high-caliber & damage pistol)

In Counter-Strike 2, for the first time, players have the option to customize their load-outs for defense and offense. For example, you can decide to have an R8 Revolver and a Desert Eagle in your loadout at all times.

After taking a look at a few of the weapons on our list, we chose the Tec-9 for its adaptability to all situations. Whether they be close or long-range fights, a Tec-9 can make all the difference between losing a gunfight and winning. For the R8 Revolver, while the gun has a decently long wind-up animation before firing, this might actually help out players who are having difficulty lining up their shots with a more advanced handgun, such as the Desert Eagle. But always remember, the right player with a P250 can make a bigger impact than the wrong player with an OP.
