At the time of the full release, BG3 has 12 classes available to be selected. While you can multi-class later in the game, this article is going to focus on mainlining one class. And for our own purposes, the class we’ll be taking a look at will also tie-in to one of the origin characters. As there is one character that is not like the rest. If you’re looking for the best evil class for villain playthrough in Baldur’s Gate 3, then look no further than the Sorcerer. Now some of you might think this is an easy answer, as this is the class that you’re given by default when selecting The Dark Urge origin character. Well to that I say: yes, and, no.

For those who aren’t aware, The Dark Urge is the only origin character that will not become your companion in the game. In fact, you won’t even be able to find them, as their story is heavily intertwined with the narrative for the game. Except instead of having good intentions for the world, your thoughts are more, bloody and chaotic. Combined with Sorcerers who draw their magic from a gift or bloodline, The Dark Urge is the poster child for evil. Of course at the end of the day, players are able to create any character with any class, and be able to destroy the world they are thrown into. Since at the end of the day, there’s no greater horrors than the thoughts inside our own heads.
