What are The Best Crops in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life?

If you’re a beginner and you’re trying to figure out which crops are the best that won’t cost you much or you’re an advanced player and have the extra money to spend, this guide is for both of you. There are crops you can grow that benefit both types of players. Crops can be handled at your farm and depending on the season they can grow perfectly or wither away. Here are the best crops in Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life.

Best Crops: Spring

When you first start playing the game you are thrown into the spring season. This season introduces you to a few crops. It’s recommended that you start off trying to purchase animals versus taking care of crops because milk, wool, and eggs give you more money. If you want to grow crops you should purchase tomato seeds because they are cheap and can grow from spring to autumn. For advanced players, tomatoes are great to use if you’re trying to create hybrid plants.

Best Crops: Summer

Summer is probably the hardest time to work on your farm and grow crops because of the heat. We can’t tell you how many times our crops withered away because we didn’t water them twice a day. This season can also be a blessing because if you like planting fruit trees, this is when they start to blossom. The best crops would have to be watermelon and banana trees. If you are learning about hybrid crops you’re going to want to combine watermelon and tomato together to create Greentoma. Greentoma can be sold in any season except for winter, which means you’ll always be able to make money.

Best Crops: Autumn

The weather is starting to get chilly and your options for growing crops are limited. Don’t worry, there are still some great crops you can plant on your farm. We recommend planting Carberry during this time of the year. Carberry can grow from autumn to spring and as you guessed it, this is a hybrid crop, so that means you need to combine carrots with strawberry. If you’re not ready to plant hybrids you could always plant carrots alone.

Best Crops: Winter

Winter is a difficult time to grow crops since a lot of options aren’t currently available. There are a total of four crops you can grow on your land. Winter is also the worst time to make money if you’re trying to ma a profit based on crops. We recommend planting potatoes during this time because of how much they can give you if you’ve grown an S-tier potato. You can make 240 gold if it’s an S-tier potato. If you’re turned off by how long potatoes take to grow you can always try planting strawberries.
