What is the Best Build For Sea Spider Boss in Armored Core 6?

Even though we will present a whole winning build to you, we decided to give you a couple of alternatives along the way as well so you know that you can be flexible when this boss comes to mind. Here is the core equipment you need to think about.

Core Items for Beating Sea Spider Boss

When it comes to your frame, you’re gonna want to go for an HD-011 MELANDER head, DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG Core, AC-2000 arms, and DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG legs (or VP-424). The booster should be Buerzel/210, with an FCS-G2/PO5 fire control system (FCS) and VP-20D generator. This will allow you for solid movement and more than decent flight time.

Next – weapons. Weapons are the most important part of this build and we suggest you take double Vvc-760PR plasma rifles for your left and right arm units and two VP-60LCS laser guns for your shoulder/back units. They will allow you to have a steady damage output, with lasers even being able to keep you up in the air for a while after you shoot the boss. We’ll explain why that’s important in a bit.

Alternatively, we’ve seen players go for a double combo of DF-GA-08 HU-BEN Gatling guns instead of plasma rifles which seemed to also do the trick with the Sea Spider Boss. See your options and what you can afford, but whatever weapon you choose between these two will be great.

How Do You Beat the Sea Spider Boss in Armored Core 6?

There are a few things you should know before you step into the arena with this dangerous guy. During the first phase of the fight, he will be on the ground and try to kill you by using plenty of laser attacks. These will be quite difficult to dodge so you’ll need to be on your toes all the time.

Whenever you see him charging a laser attack (a big ball of energy will appear above him) just dash to your left or your right. At the same time, he will try to jump on top of you so whenever you see him attempt to do that, you need to dash toward him and avoid being crushed.

In general, you want to stay in mid-range with him to shoot your plasma rifles all the time and keep the steady DPS going. Shoot laser guns when he is stunned/staggered or after he performs one of his major attacks. Those are the situations where he is least able to defend himself. If you choose to use the double Gatling gun build, you need to approach close to him and just let those babies go as they can quickly fill his stagger matter and then let you hit him hard.

When you have taken a certain amount of his HP he will change the way he fights.

When you enter the second stage of fighting the Sea Spider Boss he will be flying all the time. His attacks will change but the main thing you need to remember here is that as long as you are flying at a higher altitude than him, you’re good. Here’s where the laser guns are extremely useful, since every time you fire them they give you an extra second in the air.

The most dangerous attack he can do is his spinning attack and he will do it in this second phase. When you see him preparing to do that just fly away or dash away as far as possible since this attack can one-shot you and end the fight. You can also just fly above him and you will be safe.
